The Abundance Book
Summary
We are meant to be blessed with unlimited prosperity and lavish abundance. This extraordinary book contains the secrets of abundance along with a 40 day plan to make abundance part of your everyday life, now and forever. John Randolph Price ensures us that we only have to learn the laws of abundance once and it carries us throughout this life and into all future lives. The secret is knowing, at the deepest level of our beings, that the source of our abundance is the Creator of the Universe. The Creator is our Source AND our Supply.
The Daily Program
The daily program includes the 40 day prosperity plan; controlled visualization; intense love; joyful thanksgiving; verbal harmlessness and right action.
The 40 Day Prosperity Plan
According to Price "it takes 40 days for consciousness to realize a truth." The 40 days kicked off by writing my intentions to be prosperous into my journal (the actual intention statement is included in the book in the section before the Statements of Principle). Then once a day, for 40 days, I meditated on one Statement of Principle for 15 minutes, there are 10 Statements of Principle and during the 40 days you go through the whole list of 10 four times. Then I wrote down the thoughts that came to mind when I was done. In addition I found it beneficial to review parts of the book each day to keep my mind entertaining thoughts of abundance..Controlled visualization
A visualization to see the whole world and everyone on it as being abundant is also included and recommended. You can listen to it on the CD while doing the visualization, if you like. This visualization is meant to help speed your own abundance. Since we are all one and we see ourselves as we see others we want to see everyone as being prosperous so we can, in turn, see ourselves as prosperous. It is recommended to do the meditation in the morning and the visualization in the evening.Intense love
Work on feeling unconditional love for all of God’s creation including other people and yourself. I practice what Neale Donald Walsch mentions in one of his books: seeing myself in everyone. I add a little extra something by including seeing them as prosperous. So, I’ll look at someone and say to myself, "There I am being prosperous." It takes a couple of seconds and I don’t want to be considered rude for staring at someone so I don’t do it all the time. Those in the service industry are prime opportunities since they are already looking at you and it is acceptable to look at them for longer. Anyone who is talking to you is also an opportunity, while you are listening to them.Joyful thanksgiving
You remember this one, expressing thanks and gratitude even though the thing you want hasn’t appeared to you yet. Say "thanks" before knowing it is already yours.Verbal Harmlessness
Basically the golden rule: treat others as you wish to be treated.Right action
You are now in the flow! Follow your guidance and you’ll be lead to the next thing to do for the fulfillment of your needs and desires! (Remember, God’s voice is loving and only tells you to do things that feel right to you.)
The CD
The hardcover edition of this book includes a CD with more information about the Abundance program. I definitely recommend listening to this since it offers a deeper explanation of what is meant by meditating on the principles. The CD is not of the best quality and the tracks could be better divided. If you have the capabilities I recommend changing the tracks so the ten Statements of Principle each have their own track and the visualization and meditation are on their own tracks as well. If you don’t have the capabilities then you could note the CD time for these items, if it suits you, or make your own recording of the visualization.
Sharing/Tithing
A major benefit of being prosperous is our ability to share our abundance with others. As more flows to us we are able to share with others and this in turn increases our own prosperity. Wow! Talk about "what goes around comes around"! As you share more you get more, whether it is money, time, love, service, health, etc.
My experience
My life has been VERY interesting since I started this plan. I’ve done the 40 day plan twice now (40 days each time) and things have been moving for me ever since. On the third day of the first time I did it, my husband got a raise at work, and he hadn’t even asked! Stuck energy has once again started moving for us and amazing things have been happening, and continue to happen! We are becoming more abundant in every aspect of our lives. Time is slowing down and I find I can accomplish more each day. I’m enjoying life more and looking at the world differently now.
My recommendations
Read the ENTIRE book and listen to the CD before you get started with the 40 day prosperity plan. One Prosperity Secret mentions not to tell anyone that you are using spiritual principles to increase your abundance. That’s good to know before you start the 40 day plan. I review the checklist everyday to make sure I’m on track in all areas on my life and reread the directions every so often. When you sit down to meditate on the principles make sure you have the following in addition to your normal meditation set-up: The Abundance Book, a pen that writes (test it to make sure), a timer or stopwatch, notebook or journal to write in and two post-it notes. Since you are only supposed to meditate on ONE principle each day I recommend placing post-it notes over the words before and after the principle you are working on for that day. i.e., When I was working on principle 6 I covered principles 5 and 7 so I was only looking at 6. I also wrote the day and date at the top of the page, (i.e., "Day 7, Wednesday, May 24"). For the meditation I kept the book in my hand so I could refer to the principle I was meditating on. Above all, be patient with yourself.

John Randolph Price Interview
I had questions
After reading The Abundance Book I had some questions, which you might have too, so I emailed the author, John Randolph Price.
Here are my questions and his answers:
John,
I really appreciate the work you do and have thoroughly enjoyed working with The Abundance Book. I am writing an article on your book for my website. I wonder if you would answer a few questions for me. There are some things in the book that were unclear to me and so they would probably be unclear to my readers as well.
Here they are:
Dawn Will writing about my experience with this book affect my prosperity (since you mention that total secrecy is necessary) or is that just during the 40 days?
JRP Writing about the book will only affect your prosperity favorably. Energy follows thought.
Dawn What do you mean by a "demonstration"? (What I really meant was, "What is the significance of a demonstration?")
JRP A demonstration is the manifestation of a visible thing or experience.
Dawn I listened to the CD in addition to reading the book and two of the ideas were conflicting. You say that if we "yield to mortal pressure and carnal mind temptation to get temporary financial relief from the world of effects, we’ll have to go back to the classroom and learn the lesson all over again." But you also say to get a job if we don’t have one. So what does it mean to "yield to mortal pressure and carnal mind temptation"?
JRP There are no conflicting ideas in the book. To yield to temptation is to take short-cuts that are not in keeping with spiritual principles, such as trying to manipulate another person for your benefit.
Dawn And when should I expect there to be a major difference in my financial affairs? I’m working on the checklist. I don’t have them all mastered yet but I certainly have more then I did before. Here’s what my experience has been so far:
Three days into the program my husband got a raise without even asking. Later we finally sold a car that had been a burden and unsold for six months and we had two people bidding against each other. I told a few people, on a spiritual path, about the book. It’s just my nature, as you will see from my website, to share new finds with others so they can benefit as well. And I hadn’t gotten to the part of the book where you say that I shouldn’t tell anyone. During that time I had told my 14-year-old daughter, who isn’t on a spiritual path. I wound up having to start over after that, on day 17 since I forgot to write after my meditation. I saw the 40 day program through to the end without interruption after that and keep it to myself since I had read the part about not telling anyone.
JRP Secrecy is necessary when you are in a personal conversation with someone who is not on the spiritual wavelength with you. His or her energy may raise doubts in your feeling nature which can interrupt the process. Be careful where you cast your pearls.
Dawn Things certainly have changed in my life: my website has been coming up in the search engine results on the first page; I was asked to start writing articles in New Visions Magazine, a local holistic magazine; we had a $134 bank error in our favor and quite a few other things. I can feel the energy around manifesting fulfillment of my needs and desires. Every time a donation opportunity came our way we would donate something, which wound up averaging about once a week.
At this point my husband wants me to get a job to meet the financial challenges that he sees. Would that be "giving in" and I would have to start over? I’ve been home with our daughter for 5 years now. He would prefer I stay home but looks at the numbers and says I have to work if we want to send her to private school.
JRP Everyone should have some way of contributing to this world and paid well for doing it. That’s what jobs are for. "Work" is a spiritual process when consciousness is in tune with the Source within.
Dawn I’ve been a very good manifester for most of my life and I get a lot of things that I want. I donate stuff constantly and help people in whatever way I can, usually with advice and information. I can usually manifest material items without too much of a problem but money was a challenge. I do feel I have a greater consciousness of prosperity and I wonder when I will see a significant change in my financial affairs. I wonder if my husband’s thoughts could be affecting the manifestation of my good.
JRP If you’re trying to "make money" using the Prosperity Plan, it won’t work for any extended time. It is totally spiritually oriented, not a "mind over matter" metaphysical process. The Plan was developed to change consciousness from the outer world of effects to the inner world of Cause. Then it works beautifully because Spirit is in charge and not the ego- influenced personality. You’ll see a significant change in your financial affairs when there is a significant change in your consciousness. First things first. I also recommend my book Nothing Is Too Good to Be True, and Lessons 12 and 13 in The Jesus Code to move consciousness into a higher frequency.
I really appreciate your help in this matter.
Prosperity and Health,
Love and Light,

Common Ground Interfaith Fellowship
I’ve found my tribe
I have found this wonderful group that feels like home to me. Common Ground Interfaith Fellowship is creating community with events related to a healthy mind and spirit. Started by Kit and Andrea Thomas this fellowship invites those of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds to "come together in sacred space to learn from each other and cultivate a deeper understanding of the divinity and inter-connectedness of all life."
Monthly Sacred Space Gathering
Everyone is welcome at these free community gatherings featuring a different theme each month. Gatherings are held in Philadelphia on the first Sunday of the month from 3:30 to 5:15. It is
currently looking for a new home. Meditation is from 3:00-3:20, celebration from 3:30 to 5:15.
Other monthly events
Spirit Dancing
Creative movement expression and barefoot dancing: spirit dancing, are to be found at Stillpoint Yoga Center in King of Prussia, PA as part of the effort to create community and make heart-felt connections. I can tell you these are amazing experiences. You will find our own freedom and feel safe within this space. Join the community for spirit dancing on the second Saturday of each month from 7:45 to 10PM.
Spiritual Cinema Circle
Mentally and spiritually provocative films take on a whole new meaning in the post-viewing discussion with fellow Common Ground members. This event creates a whole new way of looking at movies. What do they mean to your spiritual life and the life you lead as you walk your talk in this world and how did they make you feel and think? Space is limited so you must RSVP for this event which is from 7:30 to 10PM on the third Friday of each month.
Special Second Anniversary Celebration
"The Heart of Community" is the theme at Common Ground Interfaith Fellowship for the Special Second Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, May 7, 2006. Multiple Grammy winning saxophonist Paul Winter joins Samite, Phil Roy, The Common Ground Choir and The Native Nations Dance Theater in bringing the theme to life. The keynote speaker is Jonathan Granoff, International Peace Advocate. This is one celebration you’ll want to be there for!
Kit and Andrea Thomas
These lovely people have made me feel right at home in the Common Ground family. I really feel like I’ve found my tribe. Everyone is welcomed and accepted and loved just the way they are by these two amazing people a trait which is common among the community members. Common Ground is their baby and they have loved and nurtured it making it what it is today. They deserve much thanks and praise for being the change they want to see in the world and making a difference for all of us.

Agave Nectar
My experience
I really enjoy this agave nectar. It has a low glycemic index so it doesn’t make my blood sugar go crazy. It stays liquid and doesn’t crystallize like honey. It even dissolves in cold drinks, not that I drink anything cold because I don’t. It pours easily and won’t gunk up the opening either.
Uses
It can be used much like honey: poured into drinks, hot or cold; sweeten almost any food without a sugar high; lick off your fingers; you get the idea.

Make Every Day Global Love Day
Yesterday’s experience
I’m not sure what it was but after I got those first ten things I didn’t see the love in the things around me as much as I had been. I guess seeing love was a mind-set I started the day with and it carried me through, seeing love in all that was around me until I had reached my goal. Well, I’m setting a new goal for myself. I’m going to work on seeing EVERYTHING with love, ALL THE TIME. I know how to do it, too.
Make every day Global Love Day
Just like God told Neale Donald Walsch in Home with God, I’ve found my own truth as far as what works to keep me feeling loving. What works for me is heart breathing; seeing God in everyone and everything; watching what I eat, meaning mucusless or mucuslean foods, eating simply, eating only as much as I need and not eating refined foods, except agave nectar as a sweetener; meditating every day; exercising at least four times a week; doing what nourishes me like spending quality time with my family, spending quality time with my friends and spending quality time with me; continuing my spiritual studies like doing the Lyricus Discourses, meditating on the Home with God principles; and doing meaningful work like writing. I’m currently writing a line of children’s books and writing for Dawn of a New Day and New Visions Magazine. The two things that I find especially helpful are doing the Discourses and the heart breathing regularly. Everything else is also essential, it’s just that doing these two things can make a difference for me when I’m not feeling my best. They do it pretty quickly, too. And when I fall off the edge into an indulgence of anger nothing brings me back faster than the exercises in The Power of Now. (See, this site is all about what works for me.)
It’s your turn
So, what have you found that makes you feel really great, loving and seeing everyone and everything in your life experience with love? Some of the things that work for me might work for you as well. However, if you’re not sure what works for you find out by compiling your own list. As you go through your day take the time to write down what makes you feel loving and what makes you feel unloving. Figure out what you have to do to create more of the things that make you feel loving and eliminate or counter what makes you feel unloving. (Things that make you feel unloving might have become habits for you and you’ll need to break them. Habits you want to break are best broken by incorporating the opposite "good" habit.) Through this process of discovery you will start to see what works for you and you’ll find your own truth in terms of what puts you in a loving space. You’ll be glad you did. And so will those in your life experience.
