Recycline Recycled Plastics

Recycline Products
There is a whole line of plastic ware coming out now and Recycline has developed a line that works well into my budget and with my values. I like how I can recycle everything and it’s all made from recycled plastic. In addition to their toothbrushes, tongue cleaners, toothpicks, razors, dishes and cutlery, Recycline also sells cups (tumblers) which can’t be found on Amazon.

About Recycline
They want to make products that are better than what’s currently available while providing a use for recyclable plastic that can be recycled again. This is so important for those who want to make sure they are part of the solution. They have a bi-monthly newsletter which will keep you up to date on their products and also on the "Green Consumer Movement".

My experience
I’ve used their products now for a while and I really like how long they last, how well they’re made, how they’re stamped with their recycling number, (even the cutlery container tells you what the recycling number of the container and lid are), the bright colors and the fact that I can put them in the dishwasher. I’m very pleased with them, as you can tell.

Preserve
Don’t let it fool you; Preserve is the name Recycline gives to this line.

Recycline Toothbrushes and Razors

Preserve Toothbrushes, Recycled Toothbrushes, Recycle PlasticRecycline
Recycline takes recycling one step further. In addition to their recycled tableware they also offer recycled/recyclable oral care and beauty products.

Health care products
Their toothbrushes come in ultra soft, soft and medium bristles. Their junior toothbrushes are just right for small mouths and hands and the children get to be a part of recycling at a very personal level. Razors, toothpicks and tongue cleaners are also made.

The recycling
These products are made from recycled plastic and when you are finished with them you send them back to the company and they turn them into park benches and other things recycled plastic can be made into.

My experience
I’ve been using these toothbrushes for years and so has my daughter. We just love how they work, the design was engineered with the help of a dentist and they work very effectively. I hold my toothbrush like a pen instead of a tennis racket since that was recommended by the makers of Tooth Soap and it works perfectly for me.

Happy Brushing…

Recycline Preserve Plastic Tableware

Preserve Plateware, Large, Tulip Red, 8-Count Packages (Pack of 4)Recycling
Do you ever wonder where your plastic goes when you recycle it and how you can support plastic recycling by buying products made from recycled plastic? Well, here is one way that plastic is being used. Recycline takes recyclable plastic and makes plastic cutlery, plates, tumblers and other products. They are making a difference in the world by offering solutions and helping us with our commitment to a clean environment.

Recycline Recycled Plastic CutleryContinuing the cycle
Not only are these items made from recycled material but they are also recycling number 5 so they can be recycled again. How many picnic plates and dishes can say that? They are dishwasher safe so they can be reused.

My experience
These items are sturdy and last for a long time. I keep a container of the cutlery in my car so I can use them at places like the local health food cafe that uses plastic cutlery without recycling numbers on them. (They don’t have the space to wash dishes or silverware.)

Birth without Violence

Birth without ViolenceWhat this book is about
From an amazing reverence for life and new children coming onto the planet, this book has helped many parents welcome their new little ones in a safe, loving and connected way. It brings to light how the conventional birthing is to the new arrival and how we can make it a nicer, friendlier environment for those who have just arrived. Imagine, if you will, that you have been in a nice, warm, dark safe cave for 9 months. You are happy. Your every need has been anticipated and provided for and suddenly you are thrust into a world of bright lights and loud noises only to be taken far away from your place of comfort and safety. You are poked and prodded and placed on cold surfaces, as if you couldn’t feel. That wouldn’t be a great way to start a new life on earth, would it?

Well, Birth without Violencetruly does revolutionize the way we bring our children into this world. Since the new baby has been shrouded in darkness we dim the lights. Since all sound has been muffled by the mother’s body we speak in whispers. Since the baby has spent 9 months in the mother’s body we place the baby on the mother’s belly. Bonding begins and the new child feels safe, loved and warm resting there on the mother. And the mother’s belly is the perfect shape to rest on because the child is in almost the same curled up position that it was in the womb. Perhaps a bath will take place after the child is several hours old, the purpose of which is to provide a memory of the floating, warmth and freedom of the amniotic fluid the baby lived in up until now. It is a time of loving and consideration for the new one’s needs and feelings.

My experience
When we had our second daughter at the Birth Center in Bryn Mawr they knew all of this and incorporated it into every birth. So, fortunately, we didn’t have to get them all to read the book, they were already there. It was a beautiful time with loving surrounding our daughter and tenderness accompanying her first hours. It helped me too since I knew that what was going on around me was in line with my values and what I wanted for my children.

Comments
I recommend this book to all parents having a baby, even if you didn’t use it with your older children you can still provide a gentle emerging for your new babies, and they will thank you for it. Although this book isn’t in print anymore you can still get it from second-hand sources. You can find sellers through Amazon.com or check out your local library. I would like it if this book was republished so more families can benefit from its wisdom and ideas. Perhaps I’ll publish it again when I start Dawn of a New Day Publishing. In the meantime…

The Four Agreements

The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom, A Toltec Wisdom BookAbout this book
Based on ancient Toltec Wisdom this incredible little book gives us the operating plan for life. In the Toltec Wisdom book The Four Agreements don Miguel Ruiz brings to the modern world the tools to change our lives and live with the integrity we truly are. We have agreements that we made with ourselves throughout our lives, based on our experiences. Some of those agreements serve us but most don’t. We can change those that don’t serve us by make these four agreements with ourselves. They change the way we interact with others, honor ourselves and make our world a better place. The first agreement is “Be impeccable with your word.” The other three stem off of that. This means to always speak with integrity and speak about what you do want. This dove-tails beautifully with The Law of Attraction and Ask and It Is Given. By speaking only what we do want, that is what we get.

About the author
Don Miguel Ruiz has been teaching Toltec Wisdom for many decades and training others in the ways of the Toltec to continue this legacy of wisdom. In addition to those he has trained, his son don Jose Luis Ruiz is continuing his family’s tradition by teaching the ancient wisdom of the Toltec to all who are ready to hear it.

About the wisdom
The ancient Toltecs were artists who saw the world and everything in it as an artistic creation. You humanity is your canvas and your life is your work of art. They encourage us to make it beautiful. For there is no reason why it should be any other way.

What I got from this book
The first time I read this book was several years ago. At the time I incorporated it into my life and it worked very well for me. Intuitively I had already been doing much of what The Four Agreements spells out. When I reread it in preparation for my interview with don Miguel Ruiz I was reminded of several things I had forgotten. I was still being impeccable with my word but I had forgotten why. The reminder was liberating especially when it came to what I was teaching my daughter. It confirmed why what I was teaching her was important.

Conclusion
This is one of the great books along the path toward higher consciousness and the evolution of our species. It provides a foundation from which other teachings can expand and grow. I defiantly recommend reading this work. It can help you understand why you feel compelled to do things a certain way and what the benefits are. I always thought it was important to be completely honest and now I know why. Being impeccable with my word has far-reaching, long-term benefits and that’s what I want in my life.
