Power, Freedom, and Grace
What this book is about
Deepak Chopra combines science with philosophies from The Power of Now, Ask and It Is Given and many others to address the problem of having forgotten who we are. Basically, we are one with the field of pure consciousness and when we learn to live from that Source we will be happy and fully awake, remembering who we are. There are exercises and techniques included for helping you remember who you are. He also provides insights into how we can shift from the old paradigm of life, which isn’t working, to the new paradigm which will help humanity evolve gracefully. On pages 156 and 157 you’ll find a technique you can use to enter the soul’s domain.
My experience
This book is well-written and understandable. It was enjoyable to read. I could feel the expansion that came from reading these words. The exercises were also expansive and helpful in my practice of moving closer to the Divine in my daily life and living from that place of keeping in mind who I really am. I especially liked the summaries at the end of each chapter. They summed up the main points of the chapter and provide a touchstone for a quick refresher of what I read.
Conclusions
This book has wonderful energy and will become an essential little guidebook for "Living from the Source of Lasting Happiness". This is definitely one to study and practice as you move more toward remembering who you are and being free.

Peaceful Warrior
What this movie is about
If you’ve read the Peaceful Warrior books then you already know this is based on the story of gymnast Dan Millman. He meets an amazing man, whom he calls Socrates, and starts on a transformational journey to live his life differently. Being here, now is one of the most important lessons he learns.
My experience
There were some things in the movie that I don’t remember from the book but I also read it in the mid 1990s, so I probably forgot a few things. The movie was well done, of true feature-film quality, and quite enjoyable and transformational to watch.
Dan Millman
Dan Millman has shared his experiences, insights and ideas with us through his many books including:
- The Life You Were Born to Live: A Guide to Finding Your Life Purpose,
- No Ordinary Moments: A Peaceful Warrior’s Guide to Daily Life,
- Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior,
- The Laws of Spirit: A Tale of Transformation,
- Living on Purpose: Straight Answers to Universal Questions,
- Everyday Enlightenment: The Twelve Gateways to Personal Growth,
- Body Mind Mastery: Creating Success in Sport and Life,
- and two children’s books:
- Quest for the Crystal Castle and
- Secret of the Peaceful Warrior.
Follow-up material
Dan found there were many questions people had after reading the book and watching the movie and they are answered in Wisdom of the Peaceful Warrior: A Companion to the Book That Changes Lives (Millman, Dan). Sounds like a winner.
Conclusion
This movie gives you just enough material to get your wondering how much more you life can be while entertaining you and throwing in some amazingly fit bodies, a little mystery, competition, self-discovery and love. If you like good movies, watch this one.

The Millionaire Maker
What this book is about
Loral Langemeier‘s clients and readers have gone from financial problems to millionaires within a few years by following her proven methods which are based on where you are financially, what your skills are, where your want to be, how much money you want to make, etc. This comprehensive book lays it all out in terms that are understandable and easy to follow. When you get done and do the footwork, you’ll have a plan to get you to millionaire status.
The method
The method is all in the book and, depending on where you currently are financially, you will know which path to take to get there. Just answer her eight questions in eight minutes and it will be clear to you. The steps of the plan to get to being a millionaire are the same for all the readers but they aren’t always done in the same order, again, it depends on where you are financially. If you can’t figure it out yourself after reading the book, then you can call her Live Out Loud company and they’ll help you figure out which steps to take. That offer is made right in the book.
Other classes
Loral’s Live Out Loud company offers wealth building and wealth creation webinars/teleseminars, programs, events, coaching, mentoring, seminars and much more to help you build your wealth and keep it for generations.
Teaching your children
She even covers how to teach this to your children. I see how money management, wealth building and wealth creation could really benefit schools to teach. Can you imagine how much alumni donations would come to the private schools that taught them how to make money? I think it’s an idea who’s time has come. Don’t wait for your school to implement it, though. This book tells you how to teach your own children.
My experience
I found this book to be very understandable, enjoyable to read and informative. I actually feel empowered to create a cash machine and get moving toward my status as a millionaire. Boy, then you’ll see Dawn of a New Day take off! We are just getting started with the Millionaire Maker plan and we are excited with the prospects of having the lives we want, working at what we know now so we can get to our dream jobs and having more time with our family.

Raw Organic Sun-Dried Mango
Raw, organic Mangoes
These Mangoes are sun-dried, organic and raw. They are plump and tasty. They can be torn easily for smaller bites (great for little mouths), cut and added to other dishes, or soaked and blended in smoothies.
How we use them
We like them raw, just the way they are. We take them in the car for on-the-go snacks which comes in handy after swimming or gymnastics class or summer camp.
Child Mess factor
They do make the sides of the mouth messy if the little one shoves in pieces bigger than their mouth. My little one, 6 years, always winds up with orange all around the sides of her mouth. She loves these and just can’t get them in her mouth fast enough. If you take them in car, just make sure your child keeps them dry. Reconstituted dried mango will stick to your carpet and upholstery. It also sticks to your teeth, the flat part, so take a toothbrush if you’re going on a date.
