Taza Chocolate

What is this is
Taza Stone Ground Organic Chocolate is one of the best chocolates I’ve ever had. I guess it’s true when they say the stone ground aspect makes the difference in taste. It preserves more of the natural flavor of the cacao. This chocolate is also Direct Trade, ethical and organic.
My experience
I actually felt a little heady after eating this. It has a very unusual flavor. It’s really indescribable. I wouldn’t say it was a richer chocolate flavor, it was definitely bold and the texture was almost crystalline while enjoying it. You’re just going to have to try it for yourself. It smells enticing too.

Marina’s Blonde Truffles

What this is
Marina’s Pure Products is a new raw food company in Kimberton, Pennsylvania. They’re making decadent raw food delights using pure ingredients and keeping the number of ingredients in each dish to a minimum.
My experience
I tried Marina’s Blonde Truffles TM and really enjoyed them. They were fresh, wholesome, sweet and filling, as I prefer my raw sweets to be. One of the problems with cooked desserts is that you’re left wanting more, and that’s the last thing you want from something that’s not totally healthy for you. I’d much rather feel satisfied from a wholesome, raw dessert. Much healthier.
An alternative
I know some people like to make their own but sometimes we don’t had the time to make our own raw desserts or we’re out and don’t have any with us and that’s when a company like Marina’s Pure Products comes to the rescue. You know me, I love dessert so much that I wrote the book Dawn of a New Day Raw Desserts so I could have all the raw desserts I want and not spend a lot of money. “Teach a man to fish…” and all that. I did buy these Blonde Truffles and really enjoyed them. While I was shopping I got hungry for something sweet and this hit the spot. I even passed up the chocolate brownies for them. 
My goal, and I don’t always make it, is to eat the best I can at the time without driving myself crazy. So, try Marina’s raw desserts and rejoice that there are more healthy companies around.

What this book is about
I love dessert and I especially love raw desserts since I can eat as much as I want and still feel good. Believe it or not, if you have all the ingredients ready to go, it takes less time to make many raw desserts (20 minutes on average) than it does to make a cooked dessert. Zukay – Raw and Live Beverage

Raw, live beverage with live active cultures
So new that Zukay doesn’t even have it available on their website, you’d be wise to ask your local health food store to carry Zukay’s Raw and Live Beverages. I tried the Raw Beet Ginger and found it to be mild, enjoyable and a healthy choice for "quality water" that Tonya Zavasta talks about in her book Quantum Eating. Don’t use it for making green smoothies though because it’s made with root vegetables and they don’t combine well with fruit.
Does it taste like vegetables?
Yes, and if you like the taste of juiced beets, which I find to be sweet, you’ll like the two beet flavors. I still have to try the other two flavors. One was cucumber.
Taste as a gauge of health
I find that the healthier the body is, thebetter healthy food tastes. There are some people at the Kimberton Whole Food Store that aren’t fond of the taste and upon talking to one person she said to me that it probably tasted good to me because I don’t eat junk food but since she does, it wasn’t appealing. So how does it taste to you?
