Beyond Recycling – Save gas before you start your car

If you’re looking for a way to save gas, and who isn’t, try doing everything you need to do before you start the engine. I recently read that an idling car uses more gas, so keep the idling to when you’re waiting at a light.

What can you get done before you turn on the car?

  1. Put on your sunglasses
  2. Put your green smoothie in your cup holder
  3. Plug in your phone
  4. Turn your mobile phone’s headset on and put it on in case a call comes in
  5. Check and adjust your mirrors and seat
  6. Buckle your child’s seat belt
  7. Buckle your seat belt
  8. Plug in your iPod and start your driving playlist or audio book or
  9. Find the radio station (this you have to turn the car on first and then find the radio station) or
  10. Put in the next CD of The Power of Now that you’re listening to (okay, so that’s what I’m listening to now. And, yes, I’m listening to it yet again. )
  11. Call in your angels to surround your car and assist you in having a pleasant ride in
  12. AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU ARE DOING NOW THAT CAN BE DONE WITH THE CAR OFF

Just imagine how much time all that takes to do when you could be doing it with the car off.

So, how’s that for saving gas?

Beyond Recycling – Reuse those plastic utensils

Recycline Recycled Plastic CutleryReuse plasticware that you use
Bring home those plastic forks, knives, spoons and sporks to reuse before you recycle them. Just keep a plastic container in the car to store the dirty ones until you get home to wash them.

Being proactive
I got the Recycline recycled, recyclable plasticware and keep them in my car to use when I’m eating out at a place where they only have plasticware. I just go into the back of my car, where I keep my canvas grocery bags, and get out my container of plasticware to bring with me into the restaurant.

Putting it all together

Despite the fact that I keep some in my car, I do wind up accumulating more, sometimes because we took my husband’s car and he doesn’t have any.  So, I just bring them home, wash then and put them in with the ones I bought. Also, sometimes the ones I bought get lost or left somewhere or someone throws them away so it’s a good idea to bring home the ones we used because it keeps the supply going without trying to.

Earth Day

Happy Earth Day to you all!

Earth Day Report
I’m happy to report that the earth is healthy, strong and getting more evolved every day. Humans are becoming more conscious and being responsible for their actions and their emotions. Animals are starting to feel safer and prosper.

You see what you want and you get more of what you see
Many spiritual teachers agree that you get more of what you look at. Look at what you do want and you will get more of it. When I say, "look at" I mean, "give your attention to".

Picture a world that works for everyone
If everyone would spend some of their time visualizing a world that works for everyone, that’s what we would get. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Happy Earth Day!
