Bead for Life

Bead for Life is a non-profit organization that pays women in Uganda fair trade prices to make beads from recycled paper.

The women make a better life for themselves and their families and are able to buy the things they need to raise their quality of life. Bead for Life is eradicating poverty, one bead at a time.

You can host a BeadParty, teach the BeadforLife curriculum for Youth and sign up for the BeadforLife Newsletter.

Kim Eng’s meditation cd

What this CD is
In this CD of meditations Kim Eng teaches the fine art of paying attention. Is it really that easy, just pay attention… you may ask. Well it is and it isn’t. That’s why I call it a “fine art”. These meditations are centered around our normal activities of eating, walking and sleeping and by bringing more consciousness into these activities it can make us more conscious at other “ordinary” moments in our lives.

How to use this CD
These meditations can be used throughout the day or as you need them. For the daily activities there’s one for conscious eating, one for walking and one for entering sleep consciously. The as needed ones are for things like dissolving the pain-body. I like to listen to the one for Entering Sleep Consciously. It really does affect my dreams positively and my waking consciousness is better. Kim recommends choosing one and listening to it for a while before moving on to another one or adding another one.

My experience
I find that by regularly listening to meditations from this CD it helps me to be more conscious at other times even when I’m not listening to it. One day I had the experience of constantly being pulled back into the moment. It only lasted that day but I think it was my Soul showing me what I’m working towards and now I know what it feels like.

About Kim Eng
Kim and Eckhart Tolle have been working together for many years and this CD goes hand-in-hand with Eckhart’s book A New Earth.

Living a Loving, Joyous Life

What gives you joy?
Make a list of the things that give you joy. Narrow that list down to what brings you the MOST joy so we can get the most bang for our buck.

Making joy part of your daily life
From the list of things that give you the most joy, choose an item or two that you can incorporate into your daily life and some things you can do on a weekly basis.

Do it
Make a list or set a reminder to do those things until it becomes a habit. When you fill your days with things that give you joy you’re taking a big step toward living a joyous, loving life.

Getting rid of the baggage and cleaning out the cobwebs
Another step that is essential to living a joyous, loving life is resolving unresolved emotional issues. Do you remember the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in high school? If that memory serves you at all it’s probably not serving your highest good. Learn to let it go. There are many methods: 1) The Holosync® Meditation Program helps you resolve unresolved emotional issues. You just listen to the meditation CD then sit for 5 minutes after it’s done playing. That’s when the unresolved emotional issues melt away. And, unlike many types of therapy, you don’t even have to relive them as they go. 2) Be the witness of your thoughts and actions and be aware of yourself as “the silent watcher”. Read Eckhart Tolle’s books, The Power of Now, Practicing the Power of Now (the abridged version of The Power of Now) and A New Earth. 3) Be in the NOW. 4) Learn to climb the emotional ladder with Ask and It Is Given. 5) Get “clear” with Sacred Commerce: Business as a Path of Awakening. Basically, find what works for you and do that.

Nourishing your spirit
There are many things we can do to nourish our spirit. Here are some that have worked for me and might work for you: 1) Finding your spiritual path, your unique approach to developing your relationship with the Divine. 2) Participate in Event Temples -where you’ll need to use the Neutral Heart Technique.

Be in the NOW
There are many tools to keep you in the NOW. 1) Being “the silent witness” of your thoughts and behaviors. 2) Feel the Inner-Body. 3) Being cleared of whatever’s on your mind that’s keeping you from being present in the Now.

Always strive to be a better person
Be the grandest version of the greatest vision you have about yourself and life. It’s talked about in more than one of Neale Donald Walsch‘s books.

Have balance in body, mind and spirit…
Whatever it takes

Practice the 6 Heart Virtues
When-Which-How Practice Guide

Have loving relationships

As Eckhart Tolle says, relationships aren’t meant to make you happy but you can use them to achieve enlightenment. Taking this approach to all your relationships will remove any expectation that the person will make you happy and will free you to just enjoy the person. You’ll be grateful when conflicts arise because, as Tolle says, what was hidden is now being brought up to the light and you can use that opportunity to clear them. Living from the Heart will definitely help you in this practice along with Tolle’s techniques of being “the silent watcher” and being in the NOW.

Conclusions
Once you’ve cleared the way, joy and love become a normal part of your day. My days are quite blissful when I’m doing these things on a daily basis: resolving unresolved emotional issues with Holosync®, practicing the 6 heart virtues, using my relationship with my husband as part of my spiritual practice, remembering to be in the now and participating in the Event Temples.

Find what works to bring you joy, the joy of Being (as Eckhart Tolle says).

Sacred Commerce: Business as a Path of Awakening

What this book is about
As a new model for business we find that Sacred Commerce: Business as a Path of Awakening is more than just a way to care about our customers, business and employees. It’s about how to bring about a better world. This book is the story of the founders of Cafe Gratitude in California. Their mission for founding a new kind of business has created an community within their business. This book offers processes on being in Sacred Commerce including “clearing”.

Clearing
Clearing is a process to make people present in the moment. It calls for the person being cleared to get in touch with thoughts and feelings that are keeping them from being present. Then it moves on to creating something new for them and finally concludes with the person doing the clearing acting as a channel for the Divine to acknowledge the person being cleared. It’s a spectacular process which helps people get rid of their “baggage” and be present so they can offer their best self to the world.

My experience
My first experience of clearing was at a workshop facilitated by the authors Matthew and Terces Engelhart in Philadelphia during 2009. We practiced on each other and by the end of the day we had been “cleared” several times. I was glowing after that workshop and remember feeling quite incredible. The best way to be cleared is by another person but you can try to do it yourself by looking in a mirror and playing both clearer and clearee. I haven’t found it to work as well or be as satisfying so I’m trying to find someone to regularly “clear” with.
