How to Return Creamy Nut Butters to a Creamy Consistency
Ever notice how the oil has separated in the nut butters you buy off the shelf at the health food store? I always try to stir mine up and mix the oil back in but the nut butter at the bottom of the jar is always drier than the top and there are invariably clumps which just aren’t fun to bite into, especially for young children who are very sense oriented.
One morning it struck me that I could blend it in my food processor so the oil was again evenly distributed throughout the nut butter and it was creamy again. It worked and now I blend the nut butters in the food processor and put them in the refrigerator so the oil doesn’t separate again.
How cool is that?
