James Arthur Ray
Seeing James Arthur Ray live
After watching The Secret, the first time I saw James Arthur Ray live was at the Revelation 2007, the annual spiritual conference the Agape International Spiritual Center of Los Angeles hosts. After soul-activating chanting with Rickie Byars-Beckwith and the Agape House Band, there was a lovely meditation then James Arthur Ray uplifted, inspired and shifted everyone with his message of "The Ground for an Inner Renaissance".
Wealthy = Well Being
He said that true Wealth means well-being in all five areas of life: financial, relational, intellectual, spiritual and physical. ("What are you putting in your body temple?!, was a great question that he emphatically asked.) When we work in multiple areas at once we accelerate our growth in those areas. It’s like cross-training. He gave the example of having an exercise routine while also practicing daily meditation. You accelerate faster at both than you would have if you focused on just one at a time. That’s pretty cool, and quite a motivator for getting in the gym, on the mat and into meditation.
Harmonic Wealth
Pointing out that Spirit is always descending and consciousness is always ascending, James assured us that taking care of ourselves in all five areas of our lives gives us Harmonic Wealth. He urged us to remember that if we’re not growing, we’re dying. So true. I noticed that in my own experience, with the last 13 years being intense growth years for me.
Being grounded in matter and Spirit
James shared that from the year 2000 to 2012 we are going through a birthing process. (The world won’t end in 2012, though. Sorry to disappoint you.) Now is the time to create people who are an example of the possibility of humanity by combining the Spiritual with business. Basically, we must be fully grounded in matter and spirit at the same time while attending to all aspects of our life here for a truly harmonious experience.
Making a change easy
He offered three steps for us when making a change: 1) start immediately, 2) begin flamboyantly, 3) no exceptions!
Conclusions
I loved everything he had to say and it made a lot of sense. I’d go to his workshops and talks. I’m also going to start checking out his books. There was a lot more to his talk but suffice it to say that you’ll want to get his new book, Harmonic Wealth, when it comes out. If you sign-up for his free e-zine, he’ll keep you posted.
